True gate of Prealps, Nyons huddles up in the Eygues river valley in the middle of orchards and olive trees, well sheltered from the Mistral wind bites.

As soon as arrived, get lost in the narrow alleys of the old village. They'll lead you to the Calvary then to the Randonne tower which is headed by a stone lace since XIXth century and has been renamed « Notre Dame de bon secours ».  Thru a paved stair, you'll go down towards Saint Vincent church and the roman bridge which cross the Eygues River since XVth century.

The hotel is located in the heart of Nyons and you'll not need your car for walking in the city or making shopping at the market Thursday morning.

The day after, leave early in the morning and discover olive trees and olive oil mills. Take a small path leading to Grignan and its castle or go south to visit Mount Ventoux and Montmirail ridge areas unless that you'll be irresistibly attracted by the wilderness of the Baronnies and the high valley of Eygues.
